Corona, CA

Incorporated in 1896, Corona has more than 147,000 residents.  Residents frequently refer to it as the circle city, but it’s name comes from the Spanish word for “crown.”  It is conveniently located near the 91 and 15 freeways.  Each spring, Corona hosts an annual Renaissance Festival at the Crossroads Riverview Park.

Four-year universities within about a 20-mile radius Corona region include the University of California, Riverside , California State University, Pomona , and California State University, FullertonRiverside Community College has a campus located in nearby Norco just about 10 miles away.

Things To Do

  • Corona Heritage Park & Museum  It’s free! Bring a picnic lunch and tour the museum to acquaint yourself with Corona’s history.  The museum and park are open from 10-2, Tuesday through Saturday.
  • The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos offers a great selection of high-end stores.  The shopping center also offers a slew of events and movie theaters.
